Barbara Devitt, MSN, RN, CNE

Julia’s Center has been active in Plano, TX for over seven years, and with new patients, donors, and volunteers, it might be good to pause and reflect upon who we are, what we do, and the reason for Julia’s Center.

Julia’s Center is a 501(c)3, faith-based free clinic that provides health care to uninsured or underserved adults with chronic health problems in Collin County.

This is our sole purpose. Julia’s Center is here to serve our patients.

WE ARE UNPAID VOLUNTEERS who share our hearts, time, and talents. We are doctors and specialists, nurse practitioners, physician associates, registered nurses, medical assistants, scribes, translators, greeters and screeners, and other supporting volunteers who tend to the non-clinical side of running the front desk and back office, scheduling, performing clerical duties, providing meals for the volunteers, and maintaining the safety environment of the clinic. Julia’s Center is blessed and fortunate to be supported by our donors, supporters, and grants. Sixty-five percent (65%) of our income is derived from donations and thirty-five percent (35%) comes from grants.

We volunteers are here to serve our patients by faithfully following our mission, vision, and values.

We respectfully ask for your financial support to help the Clinic continue with this service.
