In April 2023 we celebrated volunteer month at the Open House on April 30th.  We also presented the 2022 Volunteer Appreciation Awards! Julia’s Center loves and appreciates each of our volunteers. Special recognition was given to those that Julia’s Center is losing as they are going on to Medical or Physician Associate Schools in Texas.

All the volunteers in this photo have been admitted to Texas Medical or PA Schools, except for Rogelio. Rogelio received the President’s Volunteer Service Award-Silver Level for volunteering.  He had 210 volunteer hours, and Alicia Harris had 220 hours; Alicia received the President’s Volunteer Service Award – Bronze Level.  Alicia wasn’t present for the ceremony.

Callie Acquaye, RN, was the first recipient of the 2022 Jody Hopkins Award Excellence Award for best exemplifying the Texas Association of Charitable Clinics’ mission and vision through her extraordinary contributions to the community with all her various volunteering efforts.
Mary Ann Lee is the incoming Board Secretary of the Texas Association of Charitable Clinics (TXACC). TXACC is a state associated with the mission of “Enhancing the overall ability of Texas Charitable Clinics to provide the highest level of care.  Its vision is “Fostering the best charitable clinic network in the country.”
